Mr. Silver serves as Chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Disability Law Committee and is the Third Circuit Representative to the Board of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR), where he helps shape policy and supports advocacy on behalf of claimants and their representatives nationwide.
He has been recognized as a “Top Lawyer” by Main Line Today and as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers every year since 2018, an honor awarded to only a small percentage of attorneys in the field.
Mr. Silver earned his Juris Doctor and Master’s Degree in Media Studies from Duke University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Music from Amherst College. During law school, he worked with Duke’s Veterans Disability Law Project and the AIDS Legal Assistance Project, assisting disabled individuals with Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability claims. He was also active in the Duke Law Intellectual Property and Cyberlaw Society, concentrating on technology, intellectual property, and cyber surveillance law and policy.
Before joining Silver & Silver, Mr. Silver worked as a legal journalist for Ars Technica, covering issues of privacy, data security, and intellectual property. He also previously worked with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) on digital civil liberties and technology policy initiatives.
